What’s up Graham, it’s guys here.
The week that passed was an interesting one with a motley bunch of topics:
Has the stock market bottomed or not?
My coffee business going broke
How to quit your day job with passive income
From a look at the stock market to a personal look at my experiences, there’s something for everyone, and it reminded me of the Forrest Gump quote:
Here’s a quick recap!
The war and the market
While the market recovered just a bit last week, there were fears that this was a “dead cat bounce” signalling a mild rally before a bigger crash - Wells Fargo even warned people to not buy the dip. But instead of trading in prophecies and speculations here, let’s take a look at what geopolitical factors are at play here and try to understand if there’s any substance to these claims.
In this video, I cover the reasons behind the war in Russia and Ukraine, but then I go a step further to understand the impact on commodities like oil and gas, supply chain disruptions, how the market prices in this uncertainty, and finally - to help you decide whether you should hold or just keep buying.
For the love of coffee
It’s no secret that coffee is my first true love and that I started this YouTube channel only to put Starbucks out of business by asking people to save on their daily $5 cup of coffee. But I never expected the turn of events that would lead to working on my own brand of coffee which started selling out as soon as we shipped it! But all has not been well lately…
This video is slightly different from my usual ones. There’s no investment advice, there’s no market analysis. But I believe in being transparent with my readers about my journey and the choices I have to make. I take you through the process of starting my coffee brand, how it looked like starting out, the roadblocks we’re hitting, and what the road looks like from here on.
The power of passive income
Wait. Don’t put in your papers till you’ve watched this video.
The idea of being “Financially independent, Retiring Early” got me started with my obsession for passive income - that magic mantra that will let you retire and rake in $100 a day. As I realized along the way, passive income is more about building a solid framework. There is no get-rich-quick scheme here, but with consistency and the right principles, you can hit $100 a day in the long term.
Join me as I take you step by step through the methods of investing your money and investing your time to get you started on your own journey of financial independence. I’ve condensed everything I’ve learned over the last 12 years into this video and I’m really excited about it!
This is my Sunday round-up that gives you a quick recap of whatever you may have missed over the week.
On Wednesday, I will be doing a deep-dive article on one of these topics, like my analysis of the housing crisis. Stay tuned.
See you next week with another bunch of exciting videos!

Thank you for the summary! I am an avid fan of the value you deliver and the style in which you do so as a YouTuber! I'm curious if your decision to publish a newsletter stemmed from a conversation with a recent podcast guest, Alex Hormozi? I believe he had mentioned the theory of constraints and recommended a shift in focus from attaining more eyeballs to instead trying to utilize a better opportunity vehicle (because ad revenue on YouTube is not necessarily the best vehicle, especially lately). I think adding an opportunity like this newsletter outside of the influence of YouTube algorithm is a great action step based on his advice/perspective! I've watched both podcasts with Alex Hormozi (multiple times) and found them VERY thought provoking and useful for a number of reasons. With that in mind, I wanted to run an idea for a video by you. Have you thought about doing a reaction video on the Graham Stephan Show of your podcast with Alex Hormozi as a guest? I think it could be stellar! Like yourself, I too had to spend time alone just to process his mindset and all of the great philosophical and business principals he shared. Imagine the reaction video: you have had time to reflect on his insights and could provide your own thoughts after you've had time to process! I look up to your frugal, humble and hard working approach! Please consider this idea for the Graham Stephan Show as I think this could provide further value to another branch of your audience. Not to mention, further monetization on previously recorded footage! 🤑
Wishing you and your team the best,
Taylor
