Has bitcoin actually been moving opposite of the USD strength? I don't think I've seen that.

Will DOGE's efforts help prolong the USD as the reserve currency?

Hard to predict... Cutting on spending is a good thing for sure. But I don't know if it's going to have much impact on the big picture.

Cutting spending won't have much impact? What happened to the Graham I knew who cut every cent out of his coffee budget?!? haha.

Good stuff, Graham - I posted a similar essay today, albeit with a different tone and more of a stage setter for future writing. End of a cycle, or end of a regime?

Good stuff, and interesting to think about.

However, I do not think it is simple. There is a danger in thinking that the competitors are giants, but the truth is that they have their own problems. Russia is not really even a peer economically. They just have nukes. There is some data that the China economy is on the verge of collapse, etc. Google "China Economic Collapse".

Maybe the whole global economy collapses? Or maybe we muddle through all of this for now? The future is difficult to predict.

As an investor you can probably not do better than to just continue to acquire high quality assets.

Guarantees for the future can probably only be found in the spiritual realm by acquiring treasures in Heaven, etc.
